About Antonio

My Journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine

My journey into Integrative Medicine began years ago while living in Italy, where I first experienced the transformative effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. What started as a personal experience soon became a profound passion that would shape both my personal and professional path.

Driven by a desire to better understand the philosophy, depth, and healing traditions behind this ancient practice, I devoted myself to studying and embracing its wisdom—ultimately turning that passion into a lifelong vocation dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of others.

Mentorship & Inspiration

One of the most influential figures in my journey was Dr. Bruno Zappia M.D., T.C.M., recognized as one of the pioneers of Chinese Medicine in Italy.

Dr. Zappia became an important mentor, sharing not only clinical knowledge but also the philosophy and deeper understanding behind Traditional Chinese Medicine. His guidance helped cultivate my passion and appreciation for this holistic system of healing and played a fundamental role in shaping my path as a practitioner.

Education & Professional Development

My education and professional training took place between Italy and Canada. Inspired by North America’s integrative approach to healthcare and openness to complementary medicine, I established my practice in Ottawa and later expanded my services to Montreal.

Continuous learning remains at the heart of my professional journey. I am committed to ongoing research and the exploration of new techniques, perspectives, and developments in medicine and wellness. I strongly believe that knowledge, curiosity, and lifelong learning are essential in helping patients achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.

Clinical Interests

Although I enjoy working with a wide range of conditions, I have a particular interest in supporting patients experiencing:

• Chronic and degenerative conditions

• Digestive disorders

• Acute and chronic pain

• Allergies and Immune support

• Stress and emotional wellness

• Complex and challenging cases that encourage deeper clinical understanding

I am continually inspired by the effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine and its ability to support healing not only on the physical level, but also emotional and overall well-being.

Beyond the clinic

Outside of clinical practice, I have a long-standing interest in meditation, Pranayama breathing techniques, and the study of Advaita Vedanta — an Eastern philosophical tradition centered on self-awareness and deeper understanding. These studies continue to shape my perspective on health and reinforce my belief in caring for the individual as a whole: body, mind, and spirit.

I am also a father of two children, a role that has become one of life’s greatest teachers. Parenthood continues to shape me in profound ways — cultivating patience, presence, humility, and reminding me of the importance of living fully in each moment.

In many ways, this journey has deepened not only my understanding of life, but also the compassion, awareness, and presence I bring to my practice and to the people I have the privilege of supporting.

My Philosophy

I believe that true health extends beyond the absence of symptoms. Traditional Chinese Medicine embraces a holistic perspective that considers the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and the body’s natural ability to restore balance and heal.

My goal is to offer personalized care in a calm and supportive space where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered on their path toward greater health and well-being.
